Following the article published about the Norwich v Liverpool pregame review, it was discussed that some of the best youngsters make make an appearance in that fixture. Here we will name the best 3 liverpool youngsters at this moment in time.
1) Harvey Elliott
Prior to joining Liverpool as a 16 year old, he was touted as one of the best young English footballers at Fulham. Since joining Liverpool, he has had an impressive loan spell at Blackburn Rovers, scoring 7 and assisting 11 in 46 league games.
This season he has made the step up to the first team, where he played in 3 successive Premier League fixtures until his unfortunate injury occured. Up until then, he was playing great football and look comfortable in the starting XI. There is no doubt that he will be a key player for Liverpool sooner rather than later.
2) Curtis Jones
It would be wrong to say that Curtis Jones is an up and coming player because he has been with the first team squad for some time now. He doesn’t disappoint when he plays, as he plays with a sort of arrogance to him which is great to watch. He stuck his name in Liverpool fans heads when he scored an outside the box curling worldie into the top corner against fierce rivals Everton in the Carabao Cup.
Minutes have been somewhat lower than expected for Jones this season, but this is partly due to the sharp rise of Harvey Elliott, who has been playing in midfield. There is a lot of competition in the Liverpool midfield, and Jones will be looking to be a part of it going forward.
3) Kaide Gordon
A name some may or may not know is Kaide Gordon, the 16 year old who Liverpool signed from Derby County last season for £3m. The talented right winger was given his debut by Wayne Rooney, as a last minute substitute against Birmingham City. He was dubbed the best 16 year old in the country and Liverpool where keen to snap him up.
It looks as though he is set to start in the Carabao Cup tie away to Norwich, with Liverpool expected to rest their key players for upcoming Premier League and Champions League fixtures.
